OceanCore
OceanCore
OceanCore (MSF) products are high-performance inorganic biofillers derived from the micronization of marine mollusk shells (mussels and clams). Their composition consists primarily of aragonite-rich biogenic CaCO₃, which provides exceptional thermal stability (exceeding 350 °C) and high density relative to other biofillers in the range. Furthermore, this biogenic calcium carbonate exhibits superior hardness and abrasion resistance compared to EggCore or traditional mined mineral calcium carbonate.
OceanCore is practically insoluble in water and non-hygroscopic, making it the ideal choice for high-performance applications that demand chemical inertness and extreme heat resistance.
Raw Material | Marine mollusk shells (mussels & clams)
Composition | Biogenic CaCO₃ – aragonite-rich
Distinguishing Feature
Unlike AgroMateriae’s lignocellulosic biofillers, OceanCore is completely inorganic (CaCO₃). This translates to superior thermal stability exceeding 350°C and a significantly higher density (2.40-2.60 g/cm³).
